The authors have augmented their knowledge through years of observation and conversation, as well as through relationships with learned colleagues and friends.
Teena and Lisa also say that while they have a depth of knowledge and experience, by no means do they profess to knowing everything. Their love of plants is accompanied with a strong conviction that regardless of the time spent with gardens and gardening, there is always still so much more to learn.
